| Título | WAVLINK NU516U1 2026-05-15 (build 708c073-mt7628) Command Injection |
|---|
| Descrição |
WAVLINK NU516U1 has an OS command injection vulnerability in the `adm.cgi` binary. The `page=lan` handler stores the `lan_ip` POST parameter to UCI config without sanitizing shell metacharacters. The `page=openDHCP` handler subsequently reads this value back and interpolates it into an `ifconfig` command passed to `system()`. An authenticated attacker can inject arbitrary commands by sending two HTTP requests: the first poisons the stored LAN IP address with shell metacharacters, the second triggers the `system()` call that evaluates them. Commands execute as `uid=0(root)`.
The POST parameter parser (`FUN_0040ab18`) only filters control characters (`≤0x1f` and `0x7f`) — shell metacharacters (`;`, `>`, `$`, `|`) all pass through unmodified. |
