Submeter #908445: java-json-tools jackson-coreutils 2.0 Denial of Serviceinformação

Títulojava-json-tools jackson-coreutils 2.0 Denial of Service
DescriçãoQuadratic CPU DoS and Unbounded Memory Exhaustion in JSON Pointer Parsing (TreePointer.tokensFromInput) The JSON Pointer parser in TreePointer.tokensFromInput() has two resource exhaustion vulnerabilities that together enable denial-of-service via a single crafted input string: Quadratic CPU consumption (CWE-405): The parser uses iterative substring() calls to split the pointer into tokens. Each substring() copies the remaining string, resulting in O(n^2) total allocation and CPU time for an input with n segments. Unbounded memory allocation (CWE-770): Parsed tokens are accumulated into an ArrayList with no capacity limit. An input with 200,000+ segments causes unbounded memory growth leading to OutOfMemoryError. Both vulnerabilities share the same entry point, same function, and same fix location.
