IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0, nonché le versioni 8.5 e IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty, sono vulnerabili all'HTTP request smuggling a causa di un errato parsing dell'intestazione della richiesta HTTP transfer-encoding.
