OpenLDAP 2.4.22 中 modrdn.c 的 slap_modrdn2mods 函数未检查对 smr_normalize 函数的调用返回值，远程攻击者可通过包含无效 UTF-8 序列的 RDN（相对 distinguished name）字符串发起 modrdn 请求，从而触发 slap_mods_free 函数中对无效、未初始化指针的释放操作，导致拒绝服务（段错误），并可能执行任意代码。此问题在使用 Codenomicon LDAPv3 测试套件时得到验证。
