The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-2519 since 12/01/2016. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $5k-$25k (estimation calculated on 12/23/2020). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future. The advisory points out:

A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved memory handling.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 5 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $100k and more. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 100270 (macOS 10.12.x < 10.12.5 Multiple Vulnerabilities), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family MacOS X Local Security Checks and running in the context c. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 176711 (Debian Security Update for sqlite3 (DLA 1633-1)).

Upgrading to version 10.3.2 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
