The bug was discovered 02/20/2018. The weakness was released 02/21/2018 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-7260 since 02/19/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 4.7.8 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published 3 days after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
