The BrightSign Digital Signage device running firmware versions 6.2.63 and below contains a critical directory traversal vulnerability in the /storage.html web interface component. This flaw exists within the rp parameter processing mechanism where user input is not properly sanitized or validated before being used to construct file paths. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to manipulate the rp parameter to access arbitrary files on the device filesystem, potentially enabling both information disclosure and arbitrary file write operations.

This directory traversal vulnerability represents a significant security weakness that directly violates the principle of least privilege and proper input validation.
