PublishPress Capabilities is a WordPress plugin that allows administrators to manage user roles and capabilities within their WordPress installations. The vulnerability exists in versions 2.45.0 and earlier where an editor role user can escalate their privileges to administrator level through a flaw in the capability management system. This privilege escalation occurs due to insufficient input validation and improper access control checks during capability modification operations.
