In logwatch.pl di Logwatch 7.3.6 è possibile per gli attaccanti remoti eseguire comandi arbitrari tramite caratteri meta-shell presenti nel nome di un file di log, come dimostrato dall'invio di un nome utente manipolato ad hoc a un server Samba.
