In telnetd di GNU inetutils fino alla versione 2.7 è possibile eseguire una scrittura fuori dai limiti (out-of-bounds write) nel gestore della sottoopzione LINEMODE SLC (Set Local Characters), poiché add_slc non verifica se il buffer è pieno.
