| Titel | disler aider 0.86.3 Security Bypass |
|---|
| Beschreibung | Aider v0.86.3, by default, bypasses repository pre-commit hooks during its automatic git commit flow. The --git-commit-verify argument defaults to False, which causes Aider to pass --no-verify to all git commit operations. This allows AI-generated code changes containing dangerous patterns (such as subprocess.check_output with shell=True) to be committed, even when the repository's pre-commit hooks are designed to block such patterns (e.g., secret scanning, policy enforcement, or custom SDLC checks). A local attacker with the ability to influence AI-generated code suggestions can exploit this default behavior to introduce malicious or policy-violating code without triggering the pre-commit security controls that would normally prevent it. |
