El control ActiveX myCIOScn (myCIOScn.dll) en McAfee SaaS Endpoint Protection 5.2.1 y versiones anteriores permite a atacantes remotos escribir en archivos arbitrarios al especificar un nombre de archivo arbitrario en el parámetro MyCioScan.Scan.ReportFile, como se demuestra al inyectar scripts en un archivo de registro y ejecutar código arbitrario mediante el método MyCioScan.Scan.Start.
