TítuloPHPGurukul Blood Donor Management System Using CodeIgniter 1.0 Storing Passwords in a Recoverable Format
DescripciónBlood Donor Management System Using CI stores and processes administrator passwords entirely in plaintext across the authentication lifecycle — login, storage, and password changes. During admin login the raw POST password value is sent directly to the model without any hashing. The login model constructs a WHERE clause comparing the raw password against the database column: $data=array('email'=>$email,'password'=>$password). During password change the current password is compared as plaintext: $currentpassword==$dbcurrentpwd. When updating the password the new password is stored as plaintext: $data=array('password'=>$newpassword). For user accounts, MD5 is applied (md5($this->input->post('password'))), but MD5 is cryptographically broken, unsalted, and trivially crackable via rainbow tables and GPU brute-force. This is in stark contrast to modern standards requiring bcrypt/argon2 with per-password salts.
