Une heap-based buffer overflow dans l'interface Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) du service RPCSS permet aux attaquants distants d'exécuter un code arbitraire via une requête RPC malformée contenant un paramètre de nom de fichier trop long. Il s'agit d'une vulnérabilité distincte de CVE-2003-0352 (Blaster/Nachi) et CVE-2003-0715.
