S-PLUS 6.0 permet aux utilisateurs locaux d'écraser des fichiers arbitraires et potentiellement d'éléver leurs privilèges via une attaque par lien symbolique (symlink attack) sur : (1) /tmp/__F8499 par Sqpe, (2) /tmp/PRINT.$$.out par PRINT, (3) /tmp/SUBST$PID.TXT et /tmp/ed.cmds$PID par mustfix.hlinks, (4) /tmp/file.1 et /tmp/file.2 par sas_get, (5) /tmp/file.1 par sas_vars, et (6) /tmp/sgml2html$$tmp /tmp/sgml2html$$tmp1 /tmp/sgml2html$$tmp2 par sglm2html.
