La fonction ethtool_get_rxnfc dans net/core/ethtool.c du noyau Linux avant la version 2.6.36 n'initialise pas un certain bloc de mémoire heap, ce qui permet aux utilisateurs locaux d'obtenir des informations potentiellement sensibles via une commande ethtool ETHTOOL_GRXCLSRLALL avec une grande valeur pour info.rule_cnt, une vulnérabilité différente de celle du CVE-2010-2478.
