Une vulnérabilité de type use-after-free dans la fonction t2p_readwrite_pdf_image située dans tools/tiff2pdf.c au sein de libtiff 4.0.3 permet aux attaquants distants de provoquer un déni de service (plantage) ou d'exécuter potentiellement du code arbitraire via une image TIFF manipulée ad hoc.
