| Titre | SourceCodester Interview Management System V1.0 Information Disclosure + Input Validation |
|---|
| Description | During the security review of "Interview Management System",I discovered a critical SQL injection vulnerability in the "/addCandidate.php" file. This vulnerability stems from insufficient user input validation of the 'candName' parameter, allowing attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. Therefore, attackers can gain unauthorized access to databases, modify or delete data, and access sensitive information. Immediate remedial measures are needed to ensure system security and protect data integrity.
A critical information disclosure vulnerability has been identified in the candidate management system's input validation mechanism. The system fails to properly handle invalid data types in the age field, resulting in the exposure of sensitive system information through detailed error messages. When non-numeric characters (e.g., "gf") are submitted in the cand_age field, the system triggers uncaught PDO exceptions that reveal extensive internal information instead of returning user-friendly error messages. |
