Soumettre #752898: Tenda FH1201 V1.2.0.14(408) Stack-based Buffer Overflowinformation

TitreTenda FH1201 V1.2.0.14(408) Stack-based Buffer Overflow
Description A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability was discovered in the Tenda FH1201 wireless router. The vulnerability is located in the /bin/httpd binary within the formSafeEmailFilter function. The service retrieves the user-controlled POST parameter page via websGetVar and passes it directly to sprintf to be stored in a 256-byte stack buffer (v6). Because there is no length validation on the input, providing a string longer than approximately 230 bytes overflows the buffer, allowing an attacker to overwrite the return address on the stack. This can result in a Denial of Service (DoS) or potentially Remote Code Execution (RCE).
