| Titre | JPress 1.0.3 Improper Authorization |
|---|
| Description | An improper authorization vulnerability exists in JPress UCenter article submission functionality.
The endpoint responsible for saving articles allows a user-controlled article id to be submitted and passed into a save-or-update flow without verifying ownership of the existing article.
Source-level chain:
POST /ucenter/article/doWriteSave
→ ArticleUCenterController.doWriteSave()
→ request binds Article with attacker-controlled id
→ JbootServiceBase.saveOrUpdate(model)
→ existing id triggers update
→ missing ownership check (article.userId == currentUser.id)
Impact:
An authenticated low-privilege user may be able to overwrite or modify articles belonging to other users if a valid article id is known or can be enumerated.
The issue is caused by insufficient authorization checks during update operations. |
