| Titre | TRENDnet TEW-635BRM V1.00.03 Command Injection |
|---|
| Description | The /sbin/rc binary of the TRENDnet TEW-635BRM router contains a command injection vulnerability in the ipoa_test function. This function is called during IPoA (IP over ATM) WAN connection setup. It retrieves the NVRAM variable ipoa_ipaddr via nvram_scm_safe_get() and splices it into a shell command string through sprintf() without any sanitization, then passes the result directly to system() for execution. Because ipoa_ipaddr is fully attacker-controlled, an adversary can embed shell metacharacters (e.g., ;, `) into the configuration file to execute arbitrary commands as root and achieve complete device takeover. |
