| Description | OpenBrowser has a denial-of-service vulnerability in its browser-agent message construction path.
When OpenBrowser visits a web page, it serializes the page state into an LLM message before enforcing an effective hard size/token limit. An attacker-controlled page can place extremely large text inside a visible or accessibility-exposed element, such as a button or aria-label. During a normal task like "Summarize this page", OpenBrowser includes that untrusted page text in the model request.
This allows a single ordinary browser-agent workflow to generate an oversized LLM request that consumes the configured model provider or inference worker. Impact includes temporary denial of service of the LLM/model path, browser-agent task failure, increased CPU/memory usage, context-window errors, and potential denial-of-wallet on paid LLM providers. |
