| Titre | 0215AndrewFeng ACE-MCP 4.10.8 Path Traversal |
|---|
| Description | An arbitrary file read vulnerability (CWE-22) has been identified in the get_file_snippet MCP tool of 0215AndrewFeng ACE-MCP 4.10.8, commit 84d11778fb2c1d4c37ca9f8bdc78f27e264819a4. The tool accepts attacker-controlled projectRootPath and filePath arguments and resolves them into an absolute path without enforcing a trusted project or workspace boundary. An attacker with access to the MCP interface can set projectRootPath to an arbitrary directory and read UTF-8 files accessible to the server process, potentially exposing sensitive local information. A working exploit has been demonstrated by reading /etc/hosts through the public MCP interface. No fixed version is available at the time of reporting. |
