| Description | The affected components are `admin/display_menu.php` and `admin/tables.php`, two authenticated endpoints that provide search forms. Both endpoints interpolate the user-controlled `s1` POST parameter directly into a `LIKE` clause without escaping or parameter binding:
```php
// admin/display_menu.php
$res = mysqli_query($conn,"select * from menu where name like('$_POST[s1]%')");
```
```php
// admin/tables.php
$res = mysqli_query($conn,"select * from tables where name like('$_POST[s1]%')");
```
The result rows are then echoed back into the response body, so a UNION-based payload allows the attacker to extract arbitrary data from any table the database user can read. Verified in the lab by retrieving `user()` and `version()` from the running MySQL instance. As with all admin pages, the role check is missing (CVE-12), so any logged-in user can reach these endpoints. |
