Un overflow intero nel contatore f_count in FreeBSD prima della versione 4.2 fino alla 5.0 consente agli utenti locali di causare un denial of service (crash) ed eventualmente eseguire codice arbitrario tramite chiamate multiple a (1) fpathconf e (2) lseek, che non decrementano correttamente il valore di f_count attraverso una chiamata a fdrop.
