Un heap-based buffer overflow nel decoder thunder (noto anche come ThunderScan) presente in tif_thunder.c di LibTIFF 3.9.4 e versioni precedenti consente ad attaccanti remoti di eseguire codice arbitrario tramite dati THUNDER_2BITDELTAS manipolati all'interno di un file .tiff che presenta un valore imprevisto per BitsPerSample.
