La funzione dissect_packet in epan/packet.c di Wireshark nelle versioni 1.4.x precedenti alla 1.4.11 e nelle versioni 1.6.x precedenti alla 1.6.5 consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (crash dell'applicazione) tramite un pacchetto lungo in un file di cattura, come dimostrato da un file airopeek.
