Il Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) presente in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2 e R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 e Windows Server 2012 Gold e R2 consente agli utenti di dominio autenticati in remoto di ottenere privilegi di amministratore di dominio tramite una firma contraffatta in un ticket, come sfruttato nel mondo reale a novembre 2014, noto anche come "Kerberos Checksum Vulnerability".
