Le funzioni (1) get_quoted_string e (2) get_unquoted_string in epan/dissectors/packet-cups.c nel dissector CUPS di Wireshark 1.12.x precedenti alla versione 1.12.1 consentono agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (buffer over-read e crash dell'applicazione) tramite un pacchetto CUPS privo del carattere finale '\0'.
