La funzione dissect_hip_tlv in epan/dissectors/packet-hip.c nel dissector HIP di Wireshark 1.12.x precedente alla versione 1.12.1 non gestisce correttamente un albero NULL, consentendo ad attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (loop infinito) tramite un pacchetto manipolato ad hoc.
