È stato rilevato un problema nella libreria Binary File Descriptor (BFD) (nota anche come libbfd), distribuita con GNU Binutils fino alla versione 2.31. È presente un heap-based buffer overflow in bfd_elf32_swap_phdr_in in elfcode.h poiché il numero di program headers non è limitato.
