L'installer MSI per Splashtop Streamer per Windows, versione precedente alla 3.6.2.0, utilizza una cartella temporanea con permessi deboli durante l'installazione. Un utente locale può sfruttare questa vulnerabilità per escalare i privilegi a SYSTEM sostituendo il file InstRegExp.reg.
