L'installer MSI per Splashtop Streamer per Windows, versione precedente alla 3.6.0.0, utilizza una cartella temporanea con permessi deboli durante l'installazione. Un utente locale può sfruttare questa vulnerabilità per escalare i privilegi a SYSTEM inserendo un file version.dll nella cartella.
