È presente una vulnerabilità di Buffer Overflow in open62541 1.5.5 quando il Local Discovery Server (LDS) è compilato con la scoperta multicast abilitata tramite il backend MDNSD. Un attaccante remoto non autenticato può inviare una richiesta RegisterServer o RegisterServer2 contenente molti discoveryUrl univoci. Ciò consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service.
