| Title | Tenda A18 router V15.13.07.13 Stack-based Buffer Overflow |
|---|
| Description | In the Tenda A18V1.0 firmware version V15.13.07.13, there is a stack overflow vulnerability located in the fromSetWirelessRepeat function. The variable wpapsk_cryptoc receives the wpapsk_crypto5g parameter passed through a POST request and passes it along with set_repeat5 function. Within the set_repeat5 function, the wpapsk_cryptovalue array has a fixed size of 16 bytes. However, since the user can control the input of the wpapsk_crypto5g parameter, using strcpy to copy wpapsk_crypto5g into wpapsk_cryptovalue can lead to a buffer overflow if the input exceeds the 16-byte limit. To trigger the code execution part related to this vulnerability, the variable configured2_4g and configured5g both need to be set to the string "true". |
