| Title | D-Link DIR-823X 250416 OS Command Injection |
|---|
| Description | An authenticated remote command injection vulnerability exists in the D-Link DIR-823X router at the /goform/set_wifidog_settings endpoint. The issue stems from the application's retrieval of multiple user-controllable parameters via sub_4108AC, which are subsequently passed to the system command execution wrapper sub_415028. While a character filter sub_414FD4 is implemented within this wrapper, it fails to sanitize or block newline characters (\n, 0x0A). Since these inputs are eventually concatenated into a shell command string and executed via the system() function, an authenticated attacker can leverage newline injection to truncate the original UCI command and execute arbitrary shell instructions with root privileges. |
