| Title | PHPGurukul Hospital Management System (HMS) 4.0 SQL Injection |
|---|
| Description | The PHPGurukul Hospital Management System (HMS) v4.0 is vulnerable to an unauthenticated SQL Injection vulnerability in the password recovery module. Due to the lack of input sanitization in /hospital/hms/forgot-password.php, the email POST parameter is directly concatenated into a SQL query. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by using a tautology payload (' OR '1'='1) to bypass the database verification check. This allows the attacker to gain unauthorized access to the reset-password.php functionality, enabling a full administrative account takeover by resetting the password for the first user in the database (typically the super administrator). |
