| Title | mjperpinosa stumasy 327d1b0f2915ba79d7ef8ebb74553e987609d9be SQL Injection |
|---|
| Description | The affected component is `application/PHP/objects/notes/accessing_dictionary_authorization.php`, which calls `Notes_controller::accessing_dictionary_authorization()` with a user-controlled password. The controller concatenates the password directly into a SQL expression:
```php
$select_statement = $this->db_holder->prepare("SELECT * FROM passwords WHERE intended_to = 'accessing dictionary' AND password = password('".$password."')");
$select_statement->execute();
```
An attacker can submit `') OR 1=1 -- -` to alter the WHERE clause and bypass the dictionary password check. The issue can also be used as a SQL injection primitive against the application database.
