Submit #864867: SourceCodester Photo Share Website using PHP/MySQL V1.0 Unrestricted Uploadinfo

TitleSourceCodester Photo Share Website using PHP/MySQL V1.0 Unrestricted Upload
DescriptionThe file upload functionality handled by the save_upload action in ajax.php lacks adequate validation of user-supplied data. The application processes base64-encoded file data via the img[] parameter and sets the filename based on the imgName[] parameter. An attacker can intercept the HTTP POST request and manipulate these parameters to bypass intended restrictions. By supplying a .php extension in the imgName[] parameter and injecting malicious base64-encoded PHP code (such as a webshell or phpinfo()) into the img[] parameter, the server will save the executable script into the public-facing /social/assets/img/uploads/ directory. Accessing this uploaded file directly via a web browser triggers the execution of the arbitrary PHP code.
