| Title | LB-LINK(深圳必联电子) Router B-Link AC1200 X-PRO(AC6)_Dual_V1.0.22-20231206 Hardcoded Credentials |
|---|
| Description | The B-Link X-PRO(AC6) router firmware contains a hardcoded root password blinkadmin stored as an MD5 crypt hash in /etc/shadow. This password was confirmed through offline cracking of the extracted hash. Critically, the same string blinkadmin is reused across three separate security functions: the root password, the backup/restore AES encryption key, and the firmware verification string. This creates a single point of failure where knowledge of this one string compromises the entire device security posture. |
