| Title | GL.iNet Router 4.8.x RCE |

| Description | NAS Host-header bypass to unauthenticated root RCE
The GL.iNet GL-BE6500 firmware 4.8.7 starts a NAS command service, /usr/bin/gl_nas_sys, when an administrator opens Network Storage in the web portal. Once this service is listening on port 6000, a network attacker who can reach the service can bypass the NAS API token check by sending Host: 127.0.0.1. The bypass allows unauthenticated access to protected NAS file APIs. By creating a file with shell metacharacters in its name and then invoking GL_NAS_EXEC_FILE, an attacker can execute commands as root. |
