Submit #881058: Comfast CF-N1-S V2.6.0.1 Command Injectioninfo

TitleComfast CF-N1-S V2.6.0.1 Command Injection
DescriptionA command injection vulnerability (sub_41AD7C) exists in the /cgi-bin/mbox-config interface of the COMFAST CF-N1-S V2 router. Trigger conditions: An authenticated session; an HTTP POST request with method=SET, section=ntp_timezone, ntp_client_enabled=0, and containing the timestr field. Root Cause: The `timestr` parameter is not filtered in any way and is directly concatenated into the `sprintf` format string `date -s “%s” > /dev/null`, which is then executed via `system()`. An attacker can use double quotes to close the shell injection (e.g., CST-8“;malicious_command;”) and bypass quote boundaries to execute arbitrary commands. Impact: Arbitrary operating system commands are executed with system privileges, leading to complete compromise of the device, including the theft of Wi-Fi/PPPoE credentials, the implantation of backdoors, lateral movement, or permanent damage.
