| Title | Piwigo 16.3.0 Cross Site Scripting |
|---|
| Description | Piwigo 16.3.0 (https://github.com/Piwigo/Piwigo) contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability on public authentication-related pages such as identification.php, register.php, and password.php. The application reads the user-controlled lang cookie, and if the value is invalid, it embeds that cookie value directly into a fatal error HTML response without proper output encoding. As a result, attacker-controlled HTML or JavaScript in the lang cookie is reflected into the response body and executed in the victim browser. The issue is cookie-based rather than URL-only: exploitation requires the attacker to make the victim browser send a malicious lang cookie for the target origin. No authentication is required to reach the vulnerable pages. |
