Submit #897747: SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System V1.0 SQL injectioninfo

TitleSourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System V1.0 SQL injection
DescriptionA SQL injection vulnerability was discovered in SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System V1.0. Affected endpoint: /admin/modal_add_course1.php Vulnerable parameter: course The vulnerable endpoint reads the user-controlled POST parameter "course" and uses it in a mysqli_query() call without prepared statements or sufficient input validation. An attacker can inject malicious SQL payloads through this parameter and manipulate the backend database query. Authentication: According to the public report, no login or authorization is required to exploit this vulnerability. Validation: A POST request to /admin/modal_add_course1.php with a quoted "course" payload returned HTTP 200 and SQL error output without sending an authenticated session cookie. sqlmap validation confirmed time-based blind SQL injection using a MySQL SLEEP payload. POST parameters: course, year_section, department, go Impact: Successful exploitation may allow unauthorized database access, sensitive data disclosure, data tampering, and service disruption. Suggested fix: Use prepared statements and parameter binding, validate and filter all user-controlled input, and restrict database account privileges.
