| Title | Rizwan17 inventory-management-system bfe78a330d01bb26b9daec5dc9ecd5c77900e03f Cross Site Scripting |
|---|
| Description | The affected components are write paths that store `category_name`, `brand_name`, and `product_name` (`includes/DBOperation.php`, `includes/manage.php` via `process.php`) and read paths that re-emit those values into HTML without encoding in `includes/process.php` manage/list handlers and option builders:
```php
echo "<option value='".$row["cid"]."'>".$row["category_name"]."</option>";
...
<td><?php echo $row["category"]; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $row["brand_name"]; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $row["product_name"]; ?></td>
```
Because `process.php` is unauthenticated (CVE-04), an attacker can insert a script payload as a category/brand/product name; any later admin/user who loads manage pages or product pickers executes the script in their browser. |
