| Title | embedded-graphics <= 0.8.1 Buffer Overflow |
|---|
| Description | embedded-graphics before 0.8.2 (to be confirmed) contains an integer overflow vulnerability in ImageRaw::draw_sub_image. The bounds check at src/image/image_raw.rs:227-228 uses wrapping arithmetic in Rust release mode. An attacker can craft a Rectangle with a width value causing (top_left.x as u32 + size.width) to overflow and wrap within bounds, bypassing the bounds check entirely. This leads to denial of service via excessive iteration and potential information disclosure through incorrect pixel data access.
