GPAC MP4Box at commit f1219cde contains a heap-use-after-free vulnerability in the XMT scene parser. While processing malformed XMT nodes and mismatched closing elements, xmt_node_end can unregister and free a Script node but still add the stale pointer to the deferred scripts_to_load list. When the scene command is later applied, gf_sg_script_load reads the freed node.
Reproduction command:
./bin/gcc/MP4Box -add ../pocs/poc_3799 -new /tmp/out.mp4
Expected result:
AddressSanitizer reports a heap-use-after-free READ of size 8 in gf_sg_script_load at scenegraph/vrml_tools.c:265.
Impact:
A crafted XMT file can crash MP4Box and cause denial of service. The heap lifetime violation may have additional memory-corruption consequences depending on allocator state.
