| Title | GH05TCREW pentestagent v1.0 RCE |
|---|
| Description | PentestAgent's MCP (Model Context Protocol) HTTP server binds to x.x.x.x:8080 by default with no authentication, TLS, or access control middleware. The server exposes tool endpoints — including run_task, update_config, and get_conversation_history — that allow any network client to trigger the agent's full task execution pipeline. Through run_task, an attacker can instruct the LLM-driven agent to execute arbitrary shell commands on the host machine via the default LocalRuntime, which runs asyncio.create_subprocess_shell with no sandboxing. |
