| Title | Memcached 1.6.41 through 1.6.43 Out-of-Bounds Read |
|---|
| Description | Memcached 1.6.41 through 1.6.43, when started with ASCII authentication (-Y), allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the process (denial of service) by sending three newline bytes after connecting. A zero-length auth token reaches the mcmc tokenizer, causing a pointer underflow, out-of-bounds read, and SIGSEGV that terminates the entire memcached process. |
