| Title | Django-CRM master Missing Authorization |
|---|
| Description | Django-CRM contains an incorrect access control vulnerability (CWE-862) in the bulk case update endpoint. The POST /api/cases/bulk/update/ handler (BulkUpdateCasesView in backend/cases/bulk_views.py) only requires authentication and an organization context and does not perform per-case authorization such as assert_case_write_access, unlike the single-case update path. As a result, any authenticated member of an organization can modify arbitrary cases in that organization (status, priority, case_type, closed_on), assign themselves as assignee to gain subsequent read/write access, and close cases without the required pre_close approval workflow, because the bulk path saves models directly and bypasses CaseCreateSerializer validation.
